- Public liability insurance provided by Protectivity requires that clients completes a PAR-Q form for the insurance to apply. The benefit of collecting this information is that it will tell Protectivity that appropriate steps and precautions were taken when claims are made which will protect the business. It will also protect you by informing you steps you should take before undertaking a class should you give a ‘negative’ response to the PAR-Q. The impact of using this information is that it could work against a your claim if you are injured and want to make a claim against Yoga Me, however this is to be reasonably expected and protecting you before the injury occurs outweighs the impact.
- Legal obligation – we have to collect or use your information so we can comply with the law. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to erasure, the right to object and the right to data portability.

Data Deletion
We delete or anonymise personal information when it is no longer required for the purposes we collected it for, in line with our data retention schedule and the UK GDPR storage limitation principle. When a retention period ends, we securely delete the data from our systems, remove it from any third‑party services where it was processed on our behalf, and ensure that any temporary copies (such as email attachments or teacher‑held class information) are also deleted. Where full deletion is not technically possible, we apply suppression or irreversible anonymisation so the data can no longer be linked to an identifiable individual.
